Based in Edmonton, AB, Tropic Tan opened in January of 2024 and has been going strong since! We are a family-run business that strives to provide a sense of comfort and belonging to every customer that comes in. We value quality service at Tropic Tan and aim to have every guest leave with a positive experience.
We also recognize how important overall salon cleanliness is to both us and our clients, so cleanliness is one of our utmost priorities—something we take great pride in!
At Tropic Tan, we offer an extensive list of services, including red light therapy, stand-up tanning, lay-down tanning, lash extensions, and spray tanning! Each bed has a distinct set of benefits and is maintained to the highest standard.
Tropic Tan has always wanted to expand and incorporate wellness into our list of services. Our red light therapy bed has been incredibly popular since we introduced it, and we want to continue providing similar services.

At Tropic Tan we offer a variety of different tanning packages and minutes to best suit your needs.
Individual Sessions:
Single stand up, lay down and red light sessions for those who want to give us a try or are unable to purchase a package/minutes.
Minute Packages:
We offer 100 and 200 stand up or lay down minutes which do not expire. (unless all are used)
Monthly Packages:
Our monthly packages are purchased on a month-month basis and provide unlimited
tanning minutes based on which services you are interested in. Monthly packages will expire one month after purchase.
Memberships:
We offer different types of memberships that include unlimited minutes based on which services interest you. All memberships include product discounts as well as spray tan discounts.
Red Light Therapy Beds
Our red light therapy bed is one of the most popular services we offer at Tropic Tan. The bed contains red light bulbs (NOT UV) that are designed for red light therapy treatment; therefore, this bed will not tan you.
Red light therapy works by stimulating the cells' mitochondria and is utilized for a number of different reasons as it has been proven to:

Increase the amount of collagen in your skin cells, effectively reducing age spots, fine lines, and wrinkles while keeping your skin firm and elastic.

Our red light therapy bed has a 30-minute maximum per session. For optimal results, it is recommended to use it for at least 15 minutes, three times a week (or more).
Red light therapy can be done during the same session as your tanning. If you're doing both, it is recommended to use red light therapy first, then tan afterwards.
Stand Up Tanning Beds
Our high-intensity stand-ups are absolutely loved by our customers who are looking for a quick and easy tan. These are considered tanning beds because they contain UV light, which is also present in outdoor sun rays that tan you.
Our stand-up beds are perfect for individuals who want to tan quickly or those who don't like the traditional lay-down tanning beds. These stand-up beds provide plenty of room for movement as well as full-body fan systems, which tend to cater to more claustrophobic individuals.

Our high-intensity lay-down beds are a go-to classic at Tropic Tan. These beds are tanning beds because they contain UV light, which is the same thing that the sun tans you with. Customers love these beds because they include full-body fanswith three settings and a high-intensity face tanner that can be switched on or off based on preference.
These beds are great for those who want to relax while soaking up the UV and for those who prefer longer tanning sessions. They are also very spacious, allowing you to position yourself as you please.

Spray Tan Booth
Our spray tan booth is an automatic machine that does the spray tan for you! Our Mystic Spray Tan machine guides you through the tanning process by providing verbal instructions as well as step-by-step directions.
Our Mystic spray tans are a perfect temporary option for those who want a one-and-done tanning experience. The service takes about 10 minutes, and the tan lasts for about two weeks or longer with proper care.

Lash Extensions
Classic Lashes
Classic lashes are a 1:1 ratio, meaning one fake lash is placed onto one natural lash allowing the set to look natural and fuller without being over dramatic.
Volume Lashes
Volume lashes are multiple fake lashes applied to one natural lash, every washable lash is lashed with fans. Making the set more full and dramatic.
Hybrid Lashes
Hybrid lashes are a combination of both classic and volume lashes, typically it would be half classics, half volume. Ideal set for those seeking a middle ground of subtle and dramatic.
Lash Lifts
What is a lash lift?
Lash lifts are also known as lash perms, which is a semi permanent treatment that enhances your natural lashes without extensions. The process is curling and lifting the lashes from the base. The results are similar to your lashes being curled with a curler. Lash lifts typically last 6-8 weeks.
Brow Lamination
What is a brow lamination?
Eyebrow laminations create a shiny, smooth brows. A perm for brows that makes them straight, so they have a soap brow look. Benefits of brow lamination's are low maintenance, long lasting (5-8 weeks), brows look good 24/7, hides thinning and any patches makes brows thicker and fuller.
